Popsicle Molds II

Here are some fun molds now on the market. Several of them are made by Tovolo who seem to be the most ingenious when it comes to playful original molds.   I have also included a recipe for ice pops for grown ups, and sophisticated kids.  This recipe would also work well as a granita.

Green Tea Ice Pops
  • 500 ml (2 cups) spring water
  • 6 green tea bags
  • 80 ml (1/3 cup) sugar
  • 180 ml (2/3 cup) evaporated, soya or almond  milk
  • Bring water to boil.  Add the tea bags, and sugar and let steep for 15 minutes.  Stir to dissolve sugar.  Add the milk and stir to blend. Let cool. Fill ice pop molds, and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight.
